FAQ

Yes, the roof rack includes both the platform and the rails.

We are working as fast as possible to deliver detailed step by step instructions on many of our products however, due to Covid and border restrictions our instruction writer and supplier are stuck interstate and as such we can not write instructions in detail.
Feel free to contact us on 08 8287 4748 or sales@dashoffroad.com.au and we can assist you as best as possible

Using 4x slide nuts of the M6 size, you slide them into the front rail from the underside. Affix the wind deflector in such a way that the angular side is at the front of the roof rack. When looking at the front of the vehicle it should deflect air and water toward the roof (not scoop it.) You will have to use 4x m6x25mm button head screws and an alen key to tighten.
NOTE: it is far easier to do this when not fitted to the vehicle and while the rack is upside down being assembled.

These are our complimentary awning mounts for an awning. They are attached using the m8x25mm button heads and slight nights on any side of the roof rack.

These are for sealing the gaps when mounting the rails to the vehicle.
One goes on the roof, then the rail, then the other on top. A silver washer then goes on top and is tightened down with the stainless hex bolts into the roof.
NOTE: additional sealant is advised to prevent any leaks getting through to the roof liner.

The Predator Bar conforms to ADR standard 42 and subsection 11, as NO aftermarket automotive products can gain an ADR certification as such, all manufactures can do is ensure their products both conform and comply to applicable ADR standards.

Yes, please contact us for details

The Predator Bar is comprised to two structural metals, the foundation and winch trays are made from a carbon base steel whereas the component fascia’s are made of Alloy steel which is both strong and light weight.

Yes, the Predator Bar will work with several winches currently available on the Australian market. We have many happy customers using the Carbon Winch

The Predator Bar suits Y62 models from 2012 from STL S1 through to the current S4 models, your fitter will only have to make small adjustments to suit each variant.
For the series 5 we have a specific bar now available the Predator Evolution

The Predator bar comes in two colour/texture specs, satin black (raw unfinished) and dark black textured powder coat. If you are looking to paint the bar to match your car, we suggest that you order in satin black.

The S1-4 Predator Bar weighs a total of 45kgs, making this bar the lightest bar currently available for the Y62 market.
The S5 Predator Evolution Bar, without the lights, weights 52kg.

Yes, however a lug needs to be ground off and then they can be pushed in from the back of the bar.

While we recommend that you seek the service of our approved fitters/installers in each state, should you like to do the install yourself we believe that with our instructions and support you can fit this bar at home.

DASH OffRoad currently do not stock wiring looms however this is an easy part to obtain from a 12v or auto shop.

The kit comes with x2 bellow airbags, top hat and bottom hat to suit either factory lower control arms (LCA) or billet UCA’s. Also included is airlines (braided for the exhaust side) and hardware for installation.

The recommended maximum ball weight from Nissan is 350kg. The coil delete airbags will meet and exceed the factory recommendation.

An onboard air compressor is not essential however highly recommended. Without an onboard compressor you will have to go to a local petrol station or tyre fitting outlet.

In the field testing has shown that performance is similar to a traditional coil system however comfort is increased as unlike a coil, it’s not required to be stiffer to hold the weight, just more pressure.

Yes, independent testing of brake tests and lane departure has been successfully executed by our supplier OnTrack 4x4 for the coil delete airbags.

GVM and GCM upgrades are currently awaiting approval. We envisage this to be approved be end on 2022

3.5t remains as the maximum towing weight limit as specified by Nissan.

The kit would take a medium level of skill to install yourself however to be mod plated this would need to be professionally installed.

Any air compressor has the ability to pump up the coil delete air bags however we would recommend using the DASH auto levelling kit which includes a compressor with dryer / receiver that will remove all water from the system. An airbag filled with water is not desirable.

Any change to your suspension setup will void your current GVM upgrade. You will need to again, engineer the vehicle.

The travel in the airbag ranged between -80mm to +100mm from standard height. Considerations need to be made for wheel alignment and CV angles when extreme movement is made.

Generally, comfort improves with airbag suspension and offers a soft plush ride on the rear of your Y62 Patrol/

You should consider modifying the front suspension to allow for the additional weight.

Heights can be set via pressure. This can be done manually using guard height and pressure or alternatively with the DASH auto levelling system which will have autonomous set driving height (can be programmed), a low height that is enabled by applying the hand brake, and a temporary high setting which is speed and time monitored.

This can be achieved by going to first click of the hand brake.

The DASH air gauge and mounting plate for centre console can be purchased separately to monitor the pressure of your airbags.

Airbagman Onboard Air system will allow you to change and monitor static pressures. For dynamic auto levelling you will need to upgrade the system.

You will not have the ability to get it engineered or mod plated without a mechanically controlled auto levelling system.

If a product does not have an ETA feel free to contact us for more details. Usually, if there is no ETA it is because we have just sold out of the item and we have not received an ETA yet from our supplier.

All products will have in the product title or description if they will fit the series 5 Y62 Patrol. (If they don't please let us know so we can update the product details)

Yes the Roadsafe recovery points will fit the Series 5, however you will need either an Predator Evolution or ARB front bar. They do not fit with the stock bumper.
